 "Carnage at the Quarry"

CORR ROUNDS #7 and #8

Congratulations to Eric Greener #357 on his first career Corr Podium with a 3rd place finish in Round #7!

Jeff Knupp #354 paced the Single Buggy Field in round #7 practice and qualifying taking the pole by over a second on 2nd place, but and early lap spin dropped him to the rear of the 32 car field. He was able to race back to the front in the 10 lap race to place a strong 6th.

Round #8 saw Eric come out and take the #2 qualifying spot, while Jeff had problems getting a grip on the very wet track and was only able to get the 22nd spot. Unfortunately Jeff and Eric must have eaten there "Fruit Loops" for Breakfast because they both "looped" their cars while in the top 5. Jeff was able to fight back in the 9th position, with Eric bringing in a 16th.

Round #8 results don't due the team justice, but the two single buggy drivers are still happy with the weekend and the progress they have made with there new cars

Super Buggy Teamate #987 Mike Cohen suffered power steering problems in Round #7 that dropped him to a 21st place finish, and had a strong race in Round #8 and finished 16th in the large class.

Volkspower Racing is Excited to announce two new additions to the team. Dan's Performance Parts and Jamar Performance Products have come on board to help make Volkspower Racing more of a force in the Corr Single Buggy Class!

The Volkspower Racing crew has been hard at work the last few weeks trying to sort out there new cars and getting them ready for the next two rounds of Corr Racing.  Jeff's car is currently undergoing a gear change at Kevin McMullen Racing, along with some new top secret Jamar Racing parts that Jeff will be testing.

Jeff and Eric also just returned from a trip to Jimenez Racing Engines (714-535-5116) to tune up there new Hot Rod 1600 motors and were very pleased with the new power they found on the Dyno. Thanks to George and Mike for all there help. Jeff and Eric are looking forward to Chula Vista in 5 weeks to see what they can do with a tuned motor!

Looking Forward to seeing everybody in July at Chula Vista!

Volkspower Racing comes home with 3 top 10 finishes in the 3rd and 4th rounds of the 2008 Corr season at Primm, Nevada

Jeff in car #354 was able to take 7th place in round #3 after having a bad qualifying run that left him in the 20th position. In round #4 he qualified 5th, and ran up front with the leaders for the entire race to finish in the 5th spot.

Eric in car #357 qualified in the 16th spot in round #3, and was able to move up and finish in the 13th position. In Round #4 he had a much better run and finished 7th.

Mike drove his Racer X Pro Buggy to a Sixth place finish in the B Main on Saturday and to a 13th Place Finish in the Main Event on Sunday.

Special thanks to Mike and Wendy of Racer-X Motorsports and  Kevin and Jeremy of Kevin McMullen Transmissions for helping us out this past weekend.

Volkspower Racings Jeff Knupp wins the Single Buggy class at the Whiplash/Trucking National Firebird Gran Prix.

Eric Greener dominated the Heat race on Saturday with Jeff close behind in 2nd, but a mechanical failure on Sunday in the Main dropped him out early.

Also congratulations to Super Buggy Teammate Mike Cohen on his great 3rd place finish.
